Cancellation of the 11th NAPROCK International Programming Contest

February 16, 2020

To all the attendees of the 11th NAPROCK International Programming Contest, and whom it may concern, Cancellation of the 11th NAPROCK International Programming Contest

We appreciate all your efforts on the 11th NAPROCK International Programming Contest. The contest have been going to held in March, but NAPROCK has officially cancelled the contest because of the spread of new coronavirus(COVID19). The number of people infected by the virus is increasing especially in Asian countries, and its impact is concerned world wide. As a main sponsor of the contest, NAPROCK and the staffs at Vietnam National University have been discussing whether the contest can be held or not, but we decided that the contest officially cancelled because we consider that the situation cannot become better soon. In addition, Vietnam government announced that the large-scale sport or cultural events should be cancelled, so we followed the government view.
We are very sorry for the cancellation, and cordially ask you all to understand our decision and the situation. We ask all the attendees of the contest to submit the manuscripts for the official booklet in the designated format although the contest has been cancelled. We will award the prizes to all the teams that submit the manuscript before the deadline. We will announce the details for this issue to all the attendees soon.
In addition, we now announce that NAPROCK is planning to organize the 12th NAPROCK International Programming Contest, Hanoi, Vietnam in March, 2021.
Thank you very much for your understanding and cooperation.

Sincerely yours,
Seiji HORIUCHI
President, NAPROCK
